What can you do with Pixplit?

Make amazing collaborations with your friends and the Pixplit community! Creating a split is an opportunity to communicate using your photos and be part of a visual dialog with friends.

How do I get started?

Download Pixplit to your iPhone, connect with your Facebook account, invite and follow your friends. Then have fun. You can start your own splits or join one in the Playground. If you are the first from your Facebook community to join, you can invite as many people as you want!

I can't connect using my Facebook account. What might be wrong?

Login to Facebook (on the web) and verify your account's Privacy Settings. Pixplit has to be an app that is allowed to use your account.

If you are using an iPhone running iOS 6 and you've connected your Facebook account using their Single Sign On feature, you should also make sure that Pixplit is one of the authorized apps on the iPhone. Follow these steps to check that:
1. Open your iPhone's Settings
2. Scroll down to the Facebook tab
3. The list of app that use your Facebook account will appear on the right.
4. Verify that the radio button next to Pixplit is set to On

How do I start a new split?

Just tap on New Split in the menu, or press the camera icon located on the bottom bar within the Feed. Choose a frame, then add a photo to any slot. Add a filter, a caption (highly recommended as it will help inspire others) and other information, then tap Done to publish.

What happens to the splits that I've created?

Once a split is published it will appear on your Profile, in the Playground of your followers, as well as in all hashtag feeds (if the split was tagged).

How do I join an uncompleted split created by one of the people I follow?

From the playground or a profile of a user, find the uncompleted split you'd like to join, then tap on one of the open slots, where the "Join" icon appears. Your iPhone's camera will open displaying a camera view of the open slot. You could tap on other open slots to switch the camera view to them.

What does the "Invite Followers" open do when I create/join a split?

While all of your followers will see the new split in their Playgrounds, only the selected followers you have invited, will receive an immediate push notification, challenging him to join. It is a way to get specific follower's attention to a new split you've created.

Can I complete my own split?

No, you cannot complete your own split.

Can I join a completed split?

Tapping the Re-Split button will fetch the split's original photo with empty slots. You can then tap on any slot to join the split with your own photo.

Who decides the caption and tags of a split?

The person who starts it.

Can I change the caption and tags of a split after it's created?

Sorry, not at this time.

Who can see my splits?

Your followers can see your splits in their Playground and Completed feeds. If you tag a split, all users will be able to see it in the tag's unique feed and join or Re-Split it. We ask only that you be courteous and split photos responsibly.

When can I comment, like, and Re-split?

A split must be complete before any of the above actions are permitted. Also, remember that at this time you cannot complete your own split, so Re-Splitting a split that you began is not permitted.

Why should I add a hashtag to my split?

Tagging a split during the creation process indexes it into discoverable feeds. A split that is tagged will be included in a feed with identically tagged splits. Tap on a tag to view all the splits that were tagged identically.

Can I delete a split I am one of its participants?

Yes. You have the right to delete any split which includes your photo. Simply tap on the options icon located right below the split and marked with [...] and choose "Delete Split". The split and all its descendant splits (if any) will be deleted.

Can I delete a split that I am not one of its participants?

No. However, if you find a split offensive, you can flag it for our team's review. If we will find it inappropriate we will delete it. To flag a split, tap on the options icon located right below the split and marked with [...] and choose "Flag for Review".

With which versions of iOS is Pixplit compatible?

iOS 5.0 and higher.

When are you going to make the app for Android?

Report Abusive Behavior to Pixplit

We make great efforts to keep Pixplit and creative network where members can feel safe to collaborate with others. Please report to us any behavior you feel abusive, for example:

1. An account is attempting to deceive others by using your identity.
2. Hateful and abusive accounts are targeting a specific person. We do not mediate disputes between users. Users are allowed to post content, including content that may potentially provoke users, as long as they do not violate our Community Guidelines.
3. Someone stole images from your Pixplit profile or an external site.
4. Your underage child has an account on Pixplit. Users must be 16 years or older to use Pixplit.

To report such abusive behavior, contact us via email to reportabuse@pixplit.com and include the full name of the person you are complaining about and a link to one of the images he has participated in. To find the link to the image, tap on the Split options button, located right below any split and marked with [...], click Share by Email, and copy the url of the split.
